My Real Daily Routine as a Beginner Content CreatorNew Blog Post

April 24, 20262 min read

If you’ve ever wondered what a real day looks like when you’re trying to build income online, this is it.

Not the perfectly curated version. Not the “I wake up at 5am and have everything figured out” version (except today, I did wake up at 5 AM for no particular reason!)

Just real life.

Right now, I’m balancing UGC, affiliate marketing, content creation, and actual life… and the only way it works is by keeping things simple and flexible.

Here’s what my days typically look like:

Morning (Slow Start + Setup)
I don’t rush into work. I ease into the day, starting with a seven step morning routine before I get ready for the day. When I get to my desk I check messages, and get a feel for what needs to be done. This is usually when I decide my content topic for the day.

No overthinking. Just picking something that feels relevant or helpful.

I also spend some time in personal development, usually by watching a portion of a module from Boss Suite and reading a chapter from whatever book I'm reading.

Midday (Content Creation Block)
This is my main focus time.

I’ll:

  • Film 1–3 short videos

  • Write a quick script or talking points

  • Capture any UGC clips I need

Nothing fancy. Most of it is filmed on my phone in my environment.

Some days are productive. Some days feel messy. Both count.

Afternoon (Editing + Posting)
I’ll edit videos, write captions, and post across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.

This is also when I’ll repurpose content. One idea can easily turn into:

  • A blog post

  • Multiple pins

  • A short-form video

That’s where things start to compound.

Evening (Light Work + Engagement)
I’ll check comments, respond to messages, and sometimes plan ideas for the next day.

Nothing overwhelming. Just staying consistent and present.

What’s Actually Working Right Now

  • Keeping my daily plan simple

  • Not waiting for perfect content

  • Batching when I have energy

  • Letting content build over time

And the biggest thing?
I stopped trying to do everything in one day.

If You’re Just Starting

You don’t need a perfect routine. You need a repeatable one.

Start with:

  • 1–2 videos a day

  • One clear focus (UGC or affiliate)

  • A simple workflow you can stick to

Your routine will evolve. Mine already has.

But the key is starting before it feels organized.
